Venues to wow delegates in Barcelona
Last year, the Live Group team delivered an event in Barcelona at the International Convention Centre and attended an event at Fira Barcelona, which were both fantastic venues for corporate events.
With 300 days of sunshine every year, spectacular museums, iconic architecture and a wide, sandy beach, Barcelona is the European city that really does have it all. Just a short flight from the UK, it’s as accessible as it is attractive. It’s no wonder it’s one of the most visited cities in Europe.
For event organisers there is a world of possibilities: get the party started in a brewery, dine in the spectacular surroundings of a world heritage site or sip cocktails on an elegant rooftop terrace. Whatever the mood and atmosphere you’re trying to create, you’ll find the perfect place in this coastal gem.
In this blog, we’ve rounded up five venues for organisations looking to make their next event one to remember.

Casa Batllo
Considered one of Gaudi’s masterpieces, Casa Batllo is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most visited attractions in Barcelona. The iconic building, with its sculpted stonework, mosaic façade and dragon-back roof, opened to the public in 1995.
It has three different spaces available for hire. The Noble Floor consists of the beautiful Great Hall, main dining room and Modernist Courtyard and can accommodate up to 250 guests for a drinks reception. Upstairs, the intimate Attic and fairytale Dragon Roof Terrace are rented together and are perfect for more intimate gatherings of up to 50 people.
Fabrica Moritz
Home of the first beer of Barcelona, the newly renovated Moritz Brewery is the perfect place for a relaxed, informal event.
There are five different rooms to choose from, all packed with history and tradition and providing an insight into the workings of the brewery, both in the past and today. From the basement Room 39, with its themed lighting and central drinks bar, to the elegant Louis Moritz room complete with original frescoes and fully-equipped kitchen, there are spaces here to accommodate up to 320 guests.
Llotja del Mar
Right on the seafront in the Gothic Quarter, this stunning building is of huge significance within the city. Formerly a goods warehouse and commodity exchange, a military barracks and now the Chamber of Commerce, it’s one of the most spacious event venues available in Barcelona.
Ten different spaces are on offer, including an outdoor courtyard, several ballrooms and more modern meeting rooms. The Contracting Hall is the largest space, with room for up to 700 guests to be seated under the soaring 14-metre-high ceilings, while for smaller gatherings, the ornate Consulate’s Hall can accommodate 25 for dinner.
Hotel Arts
Another jewel in the crown of Barcelona’s cosmopolitan waterfront is the Hotel Arts, one of the best hotels in the city and world-renowned for its style, design and faultless service.
From contemporary meeting rooms with views over the sparkling Mediterranean, to open-air restaurants, terraces and gardens, there’s a venue to suit every type of event with a capacity up to 1,400 people. Special mention should go to Arts 41, an exclusive duplex meeting complex on the 40th and 41st floors, with six flexible meeting rooms and breathtaking views over the city and coastline.
Disseny Hub
Home to a museum, showroom and university, this sustainable, energy-efficient building houses a world of design under one unique roof. Behind the glass and metal façade lie three floors of permanent exhibitions, a major collection of documentary resources on design, and a range of exhibition and event spaces accommodating up to 320 people.
Each event space is flexible in its layout and Space F has the added advantage of access to a large terrace where guests can sip drinks overlooking the city’s technological district.
