Living the life of luxury in Monaco

The Live Group team is lucky enough to visit Monaco on a regular basis as it’s the stunning location for a high-profile annual event delivered by one of our longstanding clients.

Well known for its casinos, fast cars and wealthy residents, the sunshine-filled Principality of Monaco is synonymous with the good life. Only 30 minutes from Nice International Airport and 15km from the Italian border, Monaco and the surrounding area is well-connected for events, with some of the most luxurious venues in the world available for hire.

As the second smallest state in the world and with the world’s shortest coast line, what Monaco lacks in size, this glamorous location makes up for in style. In this blog, we’ve rounded up just a few of the venues which have caught our eye.

1. Salle Belle Epoque

Located within the Hotel Hermitage, this magnificent venue is a work of art.

Pink marble columns and glittering chandeliers are topped by a highly ornate and intricately-painted ceiling. Looking around, it’s no surprise that it’s listed as a historical monument. And if the sumptuous interior décor isn’t enough, the vast terrace outside boasts stunning views over the Port and the Rock of Monaco.

The room has space for 200 guests for dinner or 270 for a cocktail reception and there’s a curtain to divide the space into two for a more intimate atmosphere if required.

2. Le Deck

This large art deco-style restaurant and its adjacent poolside terrace are the epitome of 1930’s style.

At the heart of the iconic Monte-Carlo Beach hotel, which nestles on the water’s edge, the relaxed yet sophisticated space has stunning views. Sun glints off the crystal-clear waters of the Olympic-sized swimming pool while, on the horizon, palm trees sway and the cool blue of the Mediterranean Sea meets the sky.

The two areas at this venue provide incredible versatility, not to mention an indoor option in case of poor weather, and can accommodate up to 600 people.

3. Salle des Etoiles

Known as the dream venue, the 950-capacity Salle des Etoiles has hosted a number of stars, including Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Frank Sinatra and Elton John.

With spectacular views from its huge bay windows and circular terrace, the unique technology and retractable roof are what make this venue truly exceptional. Sliding back in just a few minutes, guests can find themselves dining under the stars or watching a fireworks extravaganza at the touch of a button.

4. Oceanographic Museum

Famed for its prestigious setting, world-renowned aquarium, historic collections and themed exhibitions, the Oceanographic Museum has a number of different rooms for hire, making it suitable for a range of events.

From conferences for up to 400 delegates and dinners for 250 guests, to cocktail receptions for 1,200 people, each ocean-themed option offers something unique. Positioned on the Rock, the museum is built on the side of a cliff 85 metres above sea level and just a stone’s throw from the Prince’s Palace, with unrivalled views of Monaco and the bay.

5. La Vigie Villa

Located just a few kilometres up the coast from Monaco in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, La Vigie Villa can accommodate up to 300 guests. The former home of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, this is one of the most prestigious villas on the French Riviera, with exceptional views, state-of-the-art equipment and glamorous interior design.

Inside, high ceilings, marble features, ornate columns and large fireplaces create a modern and stylish atmosphere. The gardens and 237 m2 terrace, with its breath-taking views over the Mediterranean, provide a real wow factor.
