As always seems to be the case, the first month of 2023 has passed by in a flash. Despite the dark winter months, this year is off to a great start and we’re busily working towards an event revolution!
Putting audiences first this year
As a business, our new year’s resolution is more of a public promise.
A commitment to ourselves and our clients that, in 2023, a Live Group event will put audiences first. We’ll build experiences, content and moments around those attending – whoever they may be.
As a team of individuals, our personal new year’s resolutions run the gamut. We’re looking to 2023 with hopeful eyes and telling ourselves that, if we put our minds to it, we can change for the better. But despite our collective best intentions, the data is against us. Study after study shows that only around 6% of all resolutions will be kept, a sobering statistic at the best of times.
Whilst it will be easy to stick to our new year’s resolutions as a business, research suggests that 23% of our team will already have given up on their personal resolutions in the first week of the year. And by today, 31st January, only 36% of us will still be trying to achieve our self-made promises.
Where will 2023 take you this year?
The tradition of setting new year’s resolutions has persisted through cultures, religions and time because humans naturally crave direction, whether at work or at home.
Reflecting on the past year, what we’ve done and what we might be able to do better can be cathartic. In a world that’s frequently fast-paced and sometimes chaotic, setting a goal and planning how we might hit it gives us purpose and can help us feel in control of our lives.
