Event experience in the Balearics
Earlier this year, Project Manager Charlotte Evans was invited to m&i Private Ibiza 2023. Hosted at the Hotel Torre del Mar & Convention Centre, the forum was a fantastic few days of exploring, networking and enjoying great food, whilst exploring Ibiza’s MICE infrastructure, top attractions and best locations for event managers on the hunt for something unique.
In this blog, Charlotte shares her experience and the fantastic locations the group visited.
Day 1
After the short flight from London Heathrow, I arrived in sunny Ibiza and made the short journey to our hotel, Hotel Torre del Mar. I was lucky enough to have a sea view room which was stunning!
The first evening was a relaxed networking dinner at the Hotel Torre del Mar which included plenty of food, drink and traditional entertainment. It was the perfect way to start the trip.
Day 2
After a restful sleep, I met with eleven suppliers on a one-to-one basis to learn about their offerings. It was a productive morning of networking, after which everyone split off to do their activities. My chosen activity was a ‘Hippie road trip’ – we drove around the island to discover some hidden gems! The highlight of the road trip was the opportunity to explore more of the island and the pit stop at Santa Eularia des Riu.
After a full day, we travelled across the island to Atzaro Agroturismo where we were treated to a white party. The venue was incredible and located in a secluded place for privacy and tranquillity. All of the food was sourced locally and was delicious!
Day 3
On the third day, we had the opportunity for a further 12 supplier meetings, followed by an afternoon at Cala Bassa Beach Club. We were greeted with sangria and paella and enjoyed the rest of the day networking on the beach. The clear water and glorious sunshine made it an afternoon to remember.
For our evening meal, we were lucky enough to enjoy a second beach club: Nassau Beach Club. The evening was hippie themed and included an awards ceremony at the end of a successful trip.
Day 4
On the final morning we met 11 suppliers before departing. Overall, the trip was brilliant, I met some great people and enjoyed exploring the beautiful island. I would highly recommend this beautiful Balearic island to event managers looking for a luxury location.
