Project Manager

Reports to: Project Director
Location: Kingston-upon-Thames/Remote
Type: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Dependent on experience

 

Objectives

The overall objective of the role is to manage and deliver multiple projects for Live Group’s diverse range of clients. The Project Manager will build strong client relationships and work to identify value add services on their projects.

Responsibilities

  • To plan, manage and deliver a diverse range of meetings, conferences, and events on behalf of our clients – many of them using digital technologies to drive
    communications
  • To undertake all aspects of project management, event management and logistics across client events
  • To delegate appropriately to junior members of the team throughout the lifecycle of your projects.
  • To provide remote or onsite support for projects across the UK and internationally
  • To accurately prepare, manage and reconcile client budgets in excess of £500K ensuring profitability targets are successfully achieved.
  • To work in partnership with internal business units, including creative design, technical production, digital services, content creation, and delegate management to
    deliver outstanding results for our clients
  • To support the Senior Project Managers and Project Directors on large scale events, pre-event and onsite
  • To ensure that all client projects meet operational excellence standards and profitability targets set by the business
  • Manage supply chain partners to ensure the highest standards of service/product delivery at the best negotiated price
  • To ensure all Live Group team members are updated throughout event life cycle

  • To be actively aware of current affairs and the impact this may have on our clients
  • To maintain ‘best practice’ working / examples and to actively promote these
  • To understand the role events play in the broader marketing mix

Communications and networking

  • To be an ambassador of the company at all times
  • To actively promote the company and its services wherever possible; to grow projects and offer additional group services
  • To give clear briefs to all members of the project team to ensure successful and timely delivery of the event
  • To brief internal members of the event team on any requirements ensuring their timely delivery
  • To continuously look at ways of increasing ease of communication and systems between the teams

Key skills and experience

  • You must have experience of successfully managing events independently
  • Experience of managing and reconciling event budgets in excess of £500K
  • You need to demonstrate the ability and skills to manage both physical and digital events
  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing and reconciling complete event budgets
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers, including venues and hotels
  • Confident and familiar with building and managing delegate management systems independently
  • An understanding of how event technologies can be utilised at events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
