In February 2019, the Government of Jordan and the UK Government co-hosted Jordan: Growth and Opportunity, the London Initiative 2019, a major international conference in central London to support investment, growth and jobs for Jordan. The event brought together over 1,000 VIPs, including global political leaders, CEOs of international businesses, development agencies and investors. Naturally, as a high-profile event, it was also attended by global media organisations.
VVVIPs attending included the King and Queen of Jordan, Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Prime Minister Theresa May and Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond. This naturally meant liaising closely with the Metropolitan Police well in advance of the event, as well as working with 15 different Government clients, including 10 Downing Street.
